On behalf of myself and the entire Flint Hills Area Home Builder’s Association community, we welcome you to our Fall Parade of Homes. You are invited to tour any and all of the homes during the 3 days of the tour Friday, October 19 from 5 -8pm, Saturday, October 20 from 10am – 4 pm and Sunday, October 21 from 1-4 pm. You will have the opportunity to see not only the select properties, but to experience the distinctly different ambiances of different areas and enclaves. This fall’s self-guided tour covers about 20 miles across our community, and aptly provides an introduction to the natural surroundings, as well as the creative and capable personalities who live in these rolling hills and land.

In the center of the Parade magazine and on our website, you will find our detailed map to each home in this year’s parade. There is no required stopping point, and no limit to the time you may take to complete your own personalized tour. You set the pace, and admission is free each day of the Parade. Please observe the shoe policies at each home out of respect for the new owners.

We sincerely hope that you explore all 18 entries in the Parade. Each property will present itself as the offspring of a collaboration between homeowner and homebuilder and stands as a testament to that relationship. Each home contributes a different perspective on today’s trends.

As you tour, should you also be seeking a builder, subcontractor or materials vendor, there exists no better opportunity than this to see them and their products up close and personal. And for our local builders, subcontractors and vendors, the Parade is an introduction to the wider community of current homeowners, investors, and future owners that visit our beautiful flint hills region each year. Our builders know the products to use and possess the skill to employ those products in an energy-efficient, weather-tight manner, while blending them with the aesthetic desires of their clients. Please feel free to speak to them, as they will eagerly share their expertise in answering your questions.

We offer this same information on our website so you may review this year’s Parade of Homes, map, builder members and sponsors online during or after the tour. We welcome you to our 2018 Fall Parade of Homes. The homes featured this year are one of a kind, and we can’t wait to share them with you and your family. Thank you and enjoy your time in the Flint Hills.
