October 22nd City of Manhattan- City Commission room

The City of Manhattan Department of Public Works is organizing a lunch meeting for local residential and commercial construction Contractors and Builders to review construction erosion control in and around the Manhattan community. 

Please join us for a discussion related to Best Management Practices, means and methods, and effective erosion control techniques.  Public Works staff will present an overview of the recent erosion control experience and methods, including site layout, maintenance, and regulations.  Time will be provided for taking questions and comments. 

The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22nd , 2025 (LUNCH IS PROVIDED) at the following location:

            City Hall- Commission Room (1st Floor)

Hosting an abbreviated Lead Base informational class for members of both organizations

1:00pm - 2:00pm

Manhattan Fire Department Headquarters north Dennison Ave

This will not be a full accredited base class. It serves as an awareness class to identify potential issues and result that may need to be mitigated by a licensed and insured contractor.

If there are enough Contractors needing a class to be certified, we will entertain that option during this event and schedule for a later date. That certification class would be a full day of training.
